2024 California Invention Convention: Results are Posted Here

This year’s event will be a face-to face competition – our first one since the pandemic!! This is the capstone event of our program. We are celebrating our 9th year of inspiring confidence in applied STEM, creative problem-solving, and entrepreneurship in schools and after school programs across the state.

This year, as in years past, student inventors in Kindergarten through 12th Grade were asked to identify a problem in their own lives, or that of their families, or the community – and engage in the iterative process of creating an invention to solve that problem. Finalists from local and school conventions are selected to attend state-level events. In order for more students to be able to participate, this year there will be two state California Invention Conventions.  One will be for students from Southern California (find all information here – Southern California Invention Convention  ). Students from Northern / Central California will participate at the state event being held on April 13th at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento.  Winners will earn prizes and have the opportunity to compete at Nationals competition, held by the Invention Convention Worldwide and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.

Schedule for Northern / Central California Invention Convention

National Invention Convention:

  • The 2024 Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention U.S. Nationals will be held at The Henry Ford on June 5-7 2024  Finalists from the California invention Convention will be invited to participate.
