STEMIE Coalition

California Invention Convention is associated with The STEMIE Coalition — a program of The Henry Ford.

The term “STEMIE” incorporates an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ― as well as on Invention and Entrepreneurship (hence STEM+I+E).

The STEMIE Coalition’s mission is to have every child in every school become an inventor/entrepreneur once, better twice, and instill problem-solving, critical-thinking, and creativity skills for life.  It supports efforts within each state to bring invention education to its students.

In late spring, the Coalition puts on the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo at the The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. This event brings students from around the United States together, to share their inventions, celebrate their accomplishments, and inspire one another.
