On August 22, we celebrated the incredible inventors who were selected to compete in Invention Convention Americas 2024, presented by RTX. Our host for the participant-exclusive awards ceremony was Jay Flores, Global STEM Ambassador and founder of of Invent the Change. The inventors heard an inspiring keynote address from Katya Echazarreta, the first Mexican-born woman to go to space. While only a select few took home awards, we are so proud of each and every inventor who participated in this year’s event!
Two projects from California were selected as winners:
- Jayda Herold, 2nd place in the Grades K-5 band, for her invention See-E-Z-Drops
- The team of Charlotte Fan, Wayne Newbill & Reese Zhang, 2nd place in the Grades 9-11 band, for their invention Terreus 2.0
Congratulations to them – and to all of the California inventors selected to participate in this year’s competition.
